In Schmoing, your objective is to be the first player top earn 2 Goals at the same time. You win Goals by making one of your Feats meet that Goal's requirements.

Get a Feat

You can't modify a Feat until you have a Feat. These curtain bordered cards are the first card you can play in front of yourself each game.

02

Modify with modifiers

Modifiers can be played on your Feats or even on your opponent's Feats! Modifiers have horizontal banners at the top. Modifiers change the Traits of the Feat they attach to when you play them. Some Modifiers go before the Feat and some go after, it depends on what sounds better to say. A Feat can have any number of Modifiers on it.

Win Goals

The Battle of Wizardburgville.jpg

Goals are cards with borders all the way around. Drawing a Goal doesn't count as drawing a card. instead of a Goal going into your hand, Goals immediately go into a row that all players share. New Goals enter the row on the left and make the row longer up to the point where the number of Goals is one more than the number of players in the game. If the row is full then adding a new Goal causes the oldest one, the Goal on the right, to be discarded. A Feat (Or multiple Feats if the Goal specifies) can win a Goal if it has at least enough of the Traits that the Goal requires.

Drawing and Discarding

On your turn you will usually: Draw a card and play a Feat or a Modifier. Officially, you start the game with a hand size of 3. At the beginning of your turn you draw until you have one more card in your hand than your hand size. Then you may play one card as well as any number of Free Actions. Then you must discard down to your hand size. You also have the option of discarding your entire hand instead of playing a card.
